Dancer trained at CNDC of Angers, the choreographer Sébastien Ly is the founder of Kerman company and the creator of Krossing-over Festival.
This year, the public was able to see Kerman’s plays and performances in big cities and major events across Europe and Asia, in Paris at the theatre L’étoile du nord, in Düsseldorf, Germany for one of the most important contemporary dance international gathering, Tanzmesse, in Avignon for Les Hivernales Festival, in Nice at Villa Arson, in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
By following the concepts of artistic exchanges and minimalist scenography, Sébastien Ly designs projects with variable geometry. Silent solos or multi-dancers plays associate with sound or video performances, his creations are not only shown on conventional stages but also in situ. They settle in inspiring artistic places: libraries, museums, exhibitions centres, heritage sites, welcoming audience to be a part of the creation the company offers.
